While deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest, 3 Howls gained the inspiration for its name from the legend of the Cù-Sìth (pronounced koo shee). Translating from Gaelic as “Fairy Dog,” the Cù-Sìth is a giant spectral hound and harbinger of the underworld that roams the highland moors of Scotland. The hound is said to silently stalk its victims before rending the air with three blood-curdling howls that can be heard far out over the sea. Whoever hears the howling of the beast must reach a place of safety by the third howl or the Cù-Sìth will steal away their soul to the Underworld.
Much like this ancient beast, 3 Howls spirits resound with depth and mystery rending the air with intense aromatics and resonant flavor profiles.
